Installing and running of OVITO

OVITO Installation

2. Click on Download 
3. Download the ovito as per your system (Windows/Linux/macOS) 
4. You may need to sign in to download it. Do create an account if you are new to it. It’s free. 
5. Then download the ovito basic and install it. Then open it. 
6. Load dump files (which are generated by LAMMPS codes) by dragging it into the ovito.

Running OVITO

Running OVITO is really simple. Open the software and just drag and drop the dump file generated by LAMMPS. If you don't know about the dump file don't worry. In my future blogs, I will be explaining that.

    Do we need to install pro version or basic version?

    I would recommend pro version because it has some advantage compared to basic version. But if you are beginner then go with basic version. Unless until you don't work with complex problem pro version does not make any difference. Hope this answers your question.
